The greatest d.i.y. project is living happily.

Paper bag notebook with pockets

Being that kind of person who can find little treasures anywhere at any time, I decided to make that notebook with pockets made with folded paper bags. I really love these kind of crafts such as making notebooks, pocketbooks, journals and so on. This little cute paper bag pocketbook is also nice as a travel journal, hiding small findings in there, as well.

Here’s all these materials I used:

– Any kind of paper sheets. So many different papers can be used such as scrap papers, blank or lined, white or coloured, transparent or checked ones.

– A picture from a glossy magazine.

– Paper bags.

– Tools for cutting and binding (cutter, ruler, thread…).

When I’m making notebooks I always keep in my mind that any paper it’s going to be used, should be cut at the same size of the paper bag.

I put one transparent piece of paper in each intermediate position of the paper bags. Then I folded all of these exactly in half.

After binding all the sheets and bags with the simple way by using some thread, I had to cut the external sides of the sheets and the bags. I wanted to make them look even but the most important was to open the closed sides of the paper bags in order to create more pockets.

Then I used some ribbon which I glued just at the back of my notebook…

…and here it is!
